WordCamp US 2022 Releases Speaker Schedule, Live Stream Will Be Available – WP Tavern

WordCamp US (WCUS) kicks off in a month in San Diego, Calif., and organizers have released the full schedule for all sessions. The three-day event will feature three tracks with a combination of Speed Talks (15 mins), Standard Talks (45 mins), and Workshops (1 hr+).

This year’s programming is responsible for training professionals in building with blocks. Attendees and live viewers can expect to learn how to customize basic blocks for clients and create a custom block in 15 minutes. Speakers will also offer insight into the future of block editor theme design, fundamental concepts of the new era of block themes, and demonstrate how to create a block theme.

Block themes and plugins aren’t the only things on the menu for WCUS attendees. The event will include a wide range of topics, including WordPress and the creator economy, accessibility, multi-channel e-commerce, performance, community, and creating editorial experiences.

Sessions begin on September 9 and continue through the following day, capped off by a conversation with Matt Mullenweg, who will also answer questions live from the audience. Contributor Day is scheduled for Sunday, September 11.

Unfortunately, for many hoping to attend, the 650 available tickets sold out on the first day. Everyone in the WordPress world will need to tune in to the livestream, which organizers say will be quite popular this year due to limited in-person tickets. The Sun track and Palm track sessions will be broadcast live, but not the Surf track workshops. The live stream page is already published and no special ticket will be required.
