Naturally, Lewis will host an economic development conference celebrating the ‘return to rural’


LYONS FALLS – Naturally, Lewis will host the Lewis County Economic Development Conference with the theme, Shift Back to Rural, on Wednesday, June 15, at the 3 Willows Event Center.

In its announcement, local economic development officials said Naturally Lewis is shifting the conversation to focus on the successes of its rural economy, back to the community and back to humanity to work together as a means of growth.

“We look forward to a full day filled with leadership development, economic development updates, community building and networking,” said event organizers.

The agenda includes:

– Keynote address by Christie Andrus-Nakano, local business owner offering a unique coaching and leadership service through her business, The Human Factor;

– Nationally recognized speakers with exclusive Leadercast 2021 content offering insights and takeaways that will challenge and inspire attendees; and

– Breakout sessions and interactive discussions with local topics and local speakers.

Some of the various breakout sessions planned for the economic development conference include:

-Rural entrepreneurship: small support;

-Developing the workforce of the future: benefits for retention, apprenticeships and internships;

-Lewis Life: The rural movement The regional approach;

– Scaling to country music and beyond;

– Adopt local tools to develop your business; and

– Marketing your Lewis County business.
