An official Windows WordPress app has just launched in the Microsoft Store App Store

WordPress finally added its Windows desktop app to the Microsoft Store app store this week. The list of applications was first spotted by the famous Microsoft leaker, WalkCat, on Twitter and it appears to be the same app that can be downloaded and installed from the official WordPress website, which itself is just a copy of the WordPress web experience.

Here is the official description of the app:

Give your big ideas a place on the web. Manage or create your WordPress blog or website right from your desktop.

  • Choose the right look from a wide selection of WordPress themes.
  • Create updates, stories, photo essay announcements – anything!
  • Bring your posts and pages to life with photos and videos from your camera and albums, or find the perfect picture with the built-in collection of free professional photographs.
  • View real-time statistics to track activity on your site by exploring daily, weekly, monthly and yearly information.
  • Receive notifications on comments, likes and new subscribers.
  • Respond to comments and engage with your readers as you develop your website or blog.

WordPress is more than a blogging platform – use it to connect with a community of writers in WordPress Reader. Explore thousands of topics by tag, discover new authors and organizations, and follow the ones that spark your interest.
